Eggar Forrester Insurance: Abir’s Story Of New Talent

At Eggar Forrester Insurance, we place great importance on identifying, supporting, and developing talent. Abir’s journey with us is a strong example of this belief in action.

In February 2024, Abir contacted EFI directly while seeking work experience and exploring potential career paths. His initiative immediately set him apart. After cold calling our office and speaking with James, he was introduced to Tommy and followed up with a thoughtful email explaining why he believed he would be a good fit for the company. Impressed by his proactive approach, we offered him a week of work experience.

During this initial placement, Abir quickly made a positive impression. He engaged well with the team, took the time to familiarise himself with the insurance industry, and accompanied colleagues on office visits to gain a broader understanding of our work. His enthusiasm and willingness to learn were evident throughout.

By January 2025, Abir returned to us to discuss his future and the possibility of a career in insurance. We were pleased to offer him further experience, during which he worked closely with Rhys for a month. Over this period, Abir assumed greater responsibility, including cold calling on behalf of EFI, and consistently demonstrated strong communication skills, professionalism and resilience. His contribution naturally developed into an administrative role, and he became a valued member of the team.

 Abir has been a genuine asset to Eggar Forrester Insurance. His maturity, work ethic, and fresh perspective have added real value to the business, reinforcing our belief in investing time and trust in young people.
